Pilot Plant Operator Trainee (Bilingual – Spanish preferred) $20-25/hr
The Role
The pilot plant operator trainee performs operation, monitoring, maintenance and troubleshooting of pilot equipment. The job includes on-the-job training for all functions. The role will require the employee to hold a passport and be able to travel out of the country. Travel will be up to 20% with the rest of the work located in our facility in North Austin. While not required, a working knowledge of Spanish is desired as we perform operations in South America.
Job Responsibilities
Pilot plant operations
The position will work under a shift lead and work in a team of 2-3 people. They will be trained and get to work on multiple projects. The work hours are standard with the option of working a night shift.
Administration
Instrument readouts are recorded and reported to a supervisor. The position requires showing up on time for shift and notifying a supervisor if they are unable to make their shift. Working night shifts are available, individuals may need to fill in a rare night shift for a colleague.
Operate pilot plant in the field
Up to 20% of the time we will travel, sometimes internationally. During travel 12hr shifts may be required with bonus compensation.
Basic Qualifications
Willingness to follow safety rules and conduct work in a safe manner
Fluency in Spanish strongly desired
Self-directed and motivated
Must be able to work in US without sponsorship and must be able to obtain a passport and travel internationally
Must be capable of standing throughout the working day
Must be capable of lifting 25lbs
