About the Role
The Company is seeking a CEO to lead a nonprofit organization with a 140-year legacy of providing community services to the underserved, low-income, and needy populations. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the operations and budgets of several programs, including food banks, shelters, and other services. This role involves shared governance responsibilities, financial management, and a focus on sustaining the organization's mission and vision. The CEO will work closely with the Corporate Board of Directors, collaborate with investment partners, and lead strategic goal development. Strong communication skills, a mission-based approach, and a commitment to the community are essential.Applicants for the CEO position should have a Bachelor's degree, with a Master's degree or MBA preferred, and ideally possess 12-15 years' of experience in nonprofit or not-for-profit organizations. A background in endowment and foundations or a similar organization with experience in capital investments is highly valued. The role requires expertise in operations, risk management, human resources, financial planning, and policy development. The ideal candidate will be a strong and effective communicator, with a mission-based approach, and a focus on giving back. Experience in facilities operations, capital projects, and a strong commitment to the organization's purpose are also important. The CEO will be expected to work full-time on-site, Monday to Friday, and must demonstrate the highest level of integrity, honesty, and a sense of fiduciary duty.
