South College invites applications for the position of Health Science Department Chair. We are searching for a team-oriented individual with excellent communication and organization skills. The Department Chair will work on implementation of current South College courses in science areas to include anatomy and physiology and chemistry and providing leadership and commitment to innovative and relevant education for students.
Salary and Benefits
Salary of $80k to $100k

General Responsibilities:
Maintaining high standards of teaching, scholarship, and service
Recruiting, hiring, and evaluating faculty for the Health Science department
Collaboration with faculty to promote maximum commitment and results
Organizing student advising processes and procedures
Organizing faculty teaching loads and class schedules
Overseeing strategic planning and assessment of the Health Science programs
Planning and managing budget processes
Providing instruction for Health Science courses
Oversite of day-to-day operations of the Health Science department to ensure institutional, departmental, and programmatic goals are met.
Requirements: An earned master’s degree in biology, anatomy, or chemistry required; doctoral degree preferred
Experience planning, assessment, and evaluation processes;
Evidence of excellence in postsecondary teaching and administration.
Evidence of curriculum development experience.
