Hotel Accounting Clerk (Cambria Hotels by Choice)

Job Summary:
The Accounting Clerk at Cambria Hotel Columbus - Polaris is responsible for assisting with the daily financial operations of the hotel, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general accounting duties. This is a 4-5 days a week - hourly position in the Hospitality / Restaurant industry, located in Columbus - Polaris, Ohio.

Responsibilities:
- Process banquet invoices and payments in a timely and accurate manner
- Prepare and reconcile accounts receivable invoices and collect payments
- Complete end-of-month requirements
- Maintain organized and accurate financial records and files
- Prepare bank deposits as needed
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and tracking of expenses
- Assist departments with orders
- Process payroll and complete new hire paperwork
- Adhere to all company accounting policies and procedures
- Complete other duties and special projects as assigned by the corporate office or General Manager
Requirements:
- 1-3 years of experience in an accounting or finance role, preferably in the hospitality industry
- Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles and procedures
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
