Position Summary:

We are seeking a Full stack/Software Engineering Manager for our Sales, Service and Commerce IT Engineering team. If you are driven to create a better, more sustainable future, then this is the right place for you. This position requires an experienced professional with a track record of excellence in full stack software development. The successful candidate will be an accomplished engineering leader with a strong organizational capability and the ability to command respect from the talented teams he or she will help lead and coordinate. Strong demonstrated engineering management experience is required for this role, as well as experience driving internal and customer related escalations to acceptable resolutions.

**This role is 5 days a week onsite in our Newark, CA office Key Duties & Responsibilities: Your expertise will play a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and reliable software solutions, while continuously improving development processes and fostering the growth of our engineering team.

Lead and grow a talented team of software engineers, providing technical guidance, mentoring, and support throughout the software development lifecycle.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, quality assurance, and other engineering functions, to drive software development projects from concept to completion.

Ensure teams deliver high quality production code that is safe, well architected, fast, reliable, and testable.

Work with a highly intelligent, opinionated, and technically diverse software engineering team with a wide range of experience levels to deliver sales, service and commerce application roadmap.

Work with other engineering managers and technical Leads to set and communicate technical direction and product strategies while anticipating strategic and scaling challenges.

Required Skills: The ideal candidate has proven people-management experience and exhibits a proactive attitude with an appreciation for learning.

Strong communication skills for collaboration within the team, across cross-functional teams and with management

Knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD, automated test and build tools and understanding of QA automation frameworks

Effective organizational and coordination skills to get things done in a fast-paced environment.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills, including relationship building and ability to stay focused under pressure.

Experience managing medium to large-scale projects and sometimes, vendor relationships.

Effective analytical and problem-solving skills

Willingness to learn new technologies in any area of the stack: UI, Core, Server

Experience with source code management, unit test, code review, and issue tracking systems

Effective ability to delegate tasks and translate corporate/managerial goals into actionable directions.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or relevant Engineering discipline

10+ years of industry experience, including proven ability in engineering, project management and quality testing and passion for establishing standards of excellence.

5+ years of experience leading engineering teams

5+ years of experience developing responsive web applications and Web service development using: NodeJS, TypeScript, React, Python, Java, MongoDB

Expertise with AWS and its offerings such as Lambda, S3, ECS, and EKS

Preferred Qualifications: Masters Degree in Computer Science or relevant Engineering discipline

Experience integrating with Salesforce and/or SAP ERP is a bonus.

International software development is a plus.

Salary Range : The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors. California (Bay Area) - $138,200 - $202,620

Additional Compensation and Benefits : Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k. The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucids equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs. (Cash or equity incentive awards, if any, will depend on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and company performance.)
