Position Summary:

Assists with research coordination and significant advances driven by computational techniques in imaging informatics that will be included within the Clinical and Basic Science Research of the Department. Understands computational techniques within RIS/PACS advances in diagnostic and provides data mining, text mining, modeling and simulation, pattern recognition, data visualization, and biostatistics as well as financial reports that validate the impact to the workflows, and revenue cycle. Plays a significant role in the Department’s Informatics shared operations with the Medical School’s clinical partners.

Position Key Accountabilities:

Access Cerner Radnet RIS to extract clinical data and to provide statistical analysis to leadership within the Diagnostic and Interventional Imaging Department.

Assists with the initiation and monitoring of internal, enterprise-wide level projects as requested from the DMO, Chair, Vice Chairs and Section Chief’s, obtains authorization and commitment and ensures that project demonstrate business needs and feasibility for the Department. Executes project initiation including detailed review of business requirements and prepares data and biomedical informatics metrics for departmental leadership. Keeps all Clinical and Financial Projects on track to validate workflows, clinically and fiscally, as well as manage risk and control quality.

Ability to provide support for clinical server infrastructure issues, and clinical database management including day to day support for DICOM GRID, McKesson Study Share System, GE Business Centricity, Citrix, and RadNet.

Provide high end applications support for all medical imaging systems the Department currently utilizes for imaging partners.

Ability to assess and solve technical problems related to RIS/PACS data, data mining and transfer to CodeRyte.

Provide project management support with work breakdown structures to maximize efficiency for imaging workflows.

Ability to create and insert data from the RIS Systems and prepare and design dashboards to evaluate Department Efficiency and Productivity. Inserts information within Oracle/FMS, Cayuse, GE Business Centricity/ Citrix/Radnet and other systems.

Familiarity with computing management software to assist department administration preferred.

Performs all other duties as assigned.

Certification/Skills:

None.

Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience in lieu of education.

Four (4) years of related experience.

Physical Requirements:

Exerts up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently and/or up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects.
