Boeing is looking for a highly motivated Estimating and Pricing Specialist (Mid-Level or Lead or Senior) in Independent Cost Estimate (ICE). Located in Hazelwood, MO; Chicago, IL; Huntsville, AL; El Segundo, CA; Mesa, AZ; Ridley Park, PA; San Antonio, TX or Seattle, WA.
The Independent Cost Estimate team is responsible for providing independent estimating support to the Estimating Center of Expertise (ECOE) under the Finance Shared Services (FSS) organization within Boeing. Principally, ICE estimators furnish independent cost estimates (ICEs) in support of strategic proposals, Estimate at Complete (EACs) and Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) projects. These ICEs provide Estimating and Finance leaders with crucial insight and alternative viewpoints on decisions of high complexity/uncertainty (bid & proposal, analysis of alternative, expenditure of company funds, etc.). Within this position, the ICE estimator will build and maintain positive relationships with multiple organizations, both within and outside of the Estimating Center of Expertise (ECOE). Members of the ICE team will need to be self-starting, versatile contributors who can work independently with an “outcomes” focused view.
This position will report to the Director of Government Estimating – Functional Excellence within the ECOE.
Position Responsibilities:
Create best-in-class independent cost estimates
Develop and implement estimating tools and services within Functional Excellence
Collaborate with the Data/Tools Estimating and Financial Systems and Analytics to create and maintain an estimating data ecosystem to drive data-driven, historically-based estimating
Provide trade study capabilities within Estimating (design-to-cost, Request for Information (RFI) support, Test of Reasonableness)
Support the Vice President and the Director of Estimating in proposal, estimating methodology, tools, and other reviews
Provide surge support (strategic proposals, estimating infrastructure, data calls, leadership do-outs, etc.
Build and maintain collaborative relationships with the Boeing proposal teams, Business Development & Strategy organizations
This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor's Degree or higher or equivalent experience
3 + years of experience working with statistical methods (i.e., segmentation models, regression analysis, trend analysis, etc.)
3 + years of experience in the aerospace and defense industry
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s Degree or Higher in Business, Finance, or a STEM-related field
5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Typical Education/Experience:
Mid-Level
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.).
Lead
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.).
Senior
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 15 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+13 years' related work experience, 19 years' related work experience, etc.).

Summary pay range (Mid-Level): $84,150 - $121,900
Summary pay range (Lead): $106,250 - $154,100
Summary pay range (Senior): $134,300 - $194,350
