DFM Development Services has a need to hire an internal MOT Designer to assist with various tasks within our unique multi-disciplined consulting operation that supports our real estate developer clients throughout the Metro DC Region.

We are growing our team to better serve our clients and seeking to hire a full-time, MOT Designer. In this role, the designer will be expected to be able to dive into TCPs on Day 1 creating drafts for review and submission for permits. They will create new backgrounds if no site plan CAD file is available. They will be the point of contact for clients all throughout the DC Metro.

Full-time designer of traffic control and maintenance of traffic plans for right-of-way permits in all local jurisdictions

Position is client-facing, so they are required to be able to communicate effectively and professionally with developers, contractors and jurisdictional reviewers

General knowledge of the construction process is required.

Work collaboratively with other team member to complete projects and deliverables

Manage multiple projects and assignments simultaneously throughout all stages of a project life cycle

Maintain awareness of project scope, schedules, and budgeting

Qualifications:

At least three 3 years of traffic design/civil engineering experience in a professional setting

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited university is preferred

Proficient in AutoCAD, Adobe and PDF

Excellent reading, writing, and verbal skills

Valid driver's license

Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification is preferred
