QA Engineer

Our team at Rev is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Manual QA Tester. As a Manual QA Tester, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software applications through thorough testing and defect identification.

Responsibilities

Perform manual testing of software applications to identify defects, bugs, and usability issues.

Develop and execute test cases and test plans based on project requirements and design specifications.

Conduct functional, regression, integration, and system testing to ensure the reliability and stability of the software.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and project managers, to understand requirements and deliver high-quality software.

Document and track defects found during testing and work with the development team to ensure timely resolution.

Participate in design and requirement reviews to provide feedback and ensure testability of the software.

Verify and validate bug fixes and new features through retesting and regression testing.

Identify areas of improvement in the software development process and propose solutions to enhance the quality and efficiency of testing.

Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in software testing methodologies, tools, and technologies.

Provide clear and concise reports on test results, including detailed descriptions of issues and recommendations for improvement.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

3+ years of experience as a Manual QA Tester or similar role, preferably in an Agile development environment.

Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.

Familiarity with different types of testing, such as functional, regression, integration, and system testing.

Proficiency in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test cases and test plans.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and isolate defects.

Solid understanding of software development processes and the ability to work closely with developers to facilitate defect resolution.

Attention to detail and the ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate complex issues clearly.

Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools is a plus.
