Senior Supply Chain Manager

Relate Search has partnered with a global industrial manufacturing to add a phenomenal Senior Supply Chain Manager to the team. This is a high-profile role reporting directly to the Vice President and will be a key part in the strategic direction of the Supply Chain team.
The Senior Supply Chain Manager will provide results-driven leadership with a focus on best practices, quality, and continuous improvement. In this role, you will manage all aspects of material flow, including maintaining inventory control and accuracy, and developing and managing supplier relationships. You will provide coaching and manage a team of planners, procurement, and buyers.
Responsibilities Include:
Leading
Lead by example and motivate people to create a result oriented and collaborative working environment.
Leverage metrics and other tools to drive departmental performance.
Deliver and foster continuous improvement in all areas of responsibility. Actively engage in lean manufacturing principles and techniques.
Ensure the team is fully trained and follows the safety guidelines in all aspects of the supply chain, including use of forklifts.
Establish and implement methods and best practices that support inventory forecasting, procurement, and material control.
Implement and manage an inventory control system that provides reporting capabilities, minimizes overall inventory value, and ensures accuracy of cycle counts.
Planning
Implement, manage, and improve a cross-functional, fully integrated planning process that incorporates capacity planning, scheduling, inventory, raw materials, and associated cost elements.
Analyze customer demand, sales forecasts, and historical material usage to develop and execute accurate production plans.
Coordinate with cross-functional business teams to develop the best economic strategy for production planning to support customer demand.
Address issues with the production plan by removing roadblocks for team members by coordinating with quality, engineering, and production operations to ensure on-time delivery targets.
Buying
Develop and execute a sourcing strategy to meet the location’s growth and sourcing requirements.
Identify, develop, and manage effective relationships with existing and potential suppliers to meet established cost, quality, and delivery targets.
Establish, implement, and manage a system to evaluate, monitor and report supplier scorecard performance.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, material management or related field preferred, or equivalent work experience in manufacturing supply chain.
8+ years of progressive experience in an industrial manufacturing environment with procurement, inventory, planning, supervision, and ERP systems background.
Experience in Lean, Total Quality Management, Six Sigma, or similar environment.
Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality system requirements.
Strong planning, organizational, analytical, communication and collaboration skills.
Proven ability to develop collaborative relationships, positively motivate team, and influence across organizational lines.
