POSITION DESCRIPTION
POSITION TITLE: Go Team Lead
REPORTS TO: Pastor of Ministries
ROLE SUMMARY: Hillside Fellowship believes that Jesus Changes Everything! Our mission is to make disciples who press on to maturity, rooted in the word of God and empowered by the Spirit of God. We intend to accomplish this mission by strategically focusing on three priorities: Gather, Grow, and Go. The Go Team Lead role will oversee the general areas of outreach and external ministry partnerships.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Empower the body of Hillside to “Go” into their communities, locally and globally, to proclaim Jesus and to make disciples who press on to maturity, rooted in the Word of God and empowered by the Spirit of God.
Collaborate with other ministry leads to encourage the staff and leaders of Hillside to facilitate the mission and vision of making disciples
Plan, coordinate, and oversee discipleship trips in a way that grows team members, deepens the relational connection with ministry partners, and advances the Gospel of Jesus
Develop, support, and maintain partnerships with local and global ministry partners
Develop leaders, build teams, and provide oversight to all teams within the “Go” framework
Participate in regular meetings and additional training as required by the Pastor of Ministries
Work with the Pastor of Ministries and the Executive Pastor to develop and maintain the annual “Go” budget
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
Demonstrates a maturing relationship with Jesus Christ and embodies the culture/values of Hillside (Galatians 5:22-23)
Demonstrates a commitment to the mission, vision, and values of Hillside
A minimum of three years of leadership experience on a ministry team is required
A college degree or equivalent ministry training is required
Must possess the ability to lead well and effectively communicate in both small and large group settings
Must possess a strong desire to train future leaders and a track record of multiplication
Must possess proven experience in building and developing healthy teams
Must be highly detailed, possess great administrative skills, a strong work ethic, and a servant-leader’s heart
Ability to pass a background check is required
SCHEDULE: Sun-Thurs, as well as occasional evening and weekend responsibilities
HOURS: Full Time
STATUS: Exempt
