Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Reports to: Director of Facilities
Employment Status: Full-time; 12 month
FLSA Status: Hourly

Essential Functions
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for preserving good condition and functionality of the school building.
Responsibilities
Survey the school building and repair mechanical systems to ensure it is consistent with health and safety standards.
Perform maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs and sockets, clean and repair circuit breaker panels etc.).
Assist in the setup of ventilation, refrigeration and other systems and conduct repairs when necessary.
Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality.
Inspect alarm system (fire, protection) and schedule repairs when needed.
Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, assist in window repairs, etc).
Undertake activities of pest control.
Conduct general upkeep procedures and other tasks as assigned (painting, carpentry).
Perform other assignments as requested.
Requirement /Skill Level
High school diploma or equivalent
Certificate in HVAC, building maintenance or relevant field preferred.
Proven experience as maintenance technician.
Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic and other systems.
Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods.
Knowledge of working tools, common appliances and devices
Good physical condition and strength with willingness to work overtime.
