About the Role: The Manufacturing Engineering Technician will perform functions associated with all manufacturing operations, including working with engineers in set-up and calibration tasks, as well as performing rework and quality testing related to the production of parts, components, subassemblies and final assemblies.
Responsibilities:
Collect and evaluate operating data to conduct on-line adjustments to products, instruments or equipment. Determines and may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process
Performs routine to moderately complex electro-mechanical technical functions and activities such as test, modification, troubleshooting and assembly of electronics and electro-mechanical systems, experimental design circuitry, prototype models, specialized test equipment, tools and test fixtures.
Test and troubleshoot system level and component level problems in electrical and mechanical systems and sub-systems.
Works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or plans to perform routine testing and troubleshooting.
Compiles logbooks and test procedures documentation utilizing good writing skills.
Observes safety standards. Maintains a secure, safe, clean and healthy work environment.
Becomes familiar with current manufacturing and/or engineering processes and stays informed of any changes in procedures. Assists in the correction of problems.
Perform rework as a result of testing. Generates Quality Notifications, work with engineers in conducting experiments
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Competencies:
Possesses an Associate degree in Electronics coupled with 4+ years of relevant work experience.
Demonstrated experience in a manufacturing setting within the telecommunications or electronics industry is highly preferred.
Exhibits proficient analytical skills and applies scientific methods effectively to undertake a diverse range of tasks.
Possesses a comprehensive understanding of team dynamics and demonstrates the ability to collaborate effectively with other departments.
Capable of identifying and resolving common issues within their work area autonomously, utilizing established operating procedures and scientific methodologies.
Exhibits a strong commitment to ensuring the quality of their work.
Excellent communication skills, facilitating clear and effective interaction within the team and with other stakeholders.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite
