We are seeking a VP of Architecture to join our team! The ideal candidate will be responsible for the leadership and technical execution of project design, building code and stamping, technical quality of project documentation. Courthouses, jails, detention centers, higher education projects experience required.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensuring overall design intent of the project team is incorporated into the detailed documentation.
Monitors the design process from conceptual phase through construction administration, ensuring the design idea is consistent and properly executed.
Writes and/or works with the project specification writer to develop specifications and is responsible for coordination of drawings and specifications.
Plans and develops projects of various sizes and works under supervision
Investigates, evaluates, and recommends design solutions, prioritizes work, receives guidance on complex issues
Participates in cross-discipline discussions and coordination with multidisciplinary teammates
Participates in construction administration by reviewing shop drawings and submittals, responding to RFIs, working to solve construction issues, and performing site visits to assess general conformance with the design concept
Assists with marketing and business development activities
Travel for project-related activities may be required
Coordinating the work of junior professionals and technicians
Consistently reviews work and communicate needs and concerns to project staff.
Defines staff requirements for projects as needed or directed.
All other duties and responsibilities as required.
Skills and Requirements:
Bachelor's or Masters degree in Architecture from an accredited college or university
Architecture registration required.
Registered Architect (RA) Required
Well-rounded diverse candidate with a variety of Courthouses, jails, detention centers, higher education projects experience required.
Must be computer literate in Microsoft, email, etc.
Revit or AutoCAD experience is a plus
Advanced knowledge of building design and construction means, methods, and techniques
Excellent communication abilities, including writing, speaking and active listening
Organizational skills, including time management, delegation, prioritization, and multitasking
A good work ethic and strict adherence to safe work practices
Valid drivers license.
Clean driving record.
