Job Summary and Qualifications The Administrative Director of Women’s and Children’s Services is responsible for the overall management of the Labor and Delivery, OB/GYN, Nursery, NICU, Pediatrics and PICU operation to achieve quality improvement, fiscal productivity and customer/patient satisfaction goals and objectives.

Ensures staff levels and skill mix are appropriate to provide department services. Recruitment efforts are focused on appropriate selection methods and completed timely. Monitors and analyzed turnover and addresses causes for controllable turnover proactively.

Provides timely and effective employee recognition. Promptly addresses employee behavior and performance issues.

Develops and implements action plans based upon employee engagement survey results and monitors success of action plans ensuring alignment with hospital vision and mission.

Conducts regular department staff meetings and discusses hospital goals and objectives and overall hospital performance.

Collaboratively works with direct reports to set meaningful performance objectives, sets specific performance goals and identifies measures for evaluating goal achievement.

Provides safe patient care.

What qualifications you will need: EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:

Graduate of a Nursing Program from an accredited school; BSN required; Master in Nursing or health related area preferred.

Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Louisiana.

At least five years related clinical experience with one to three years demonstrated leadership experience in the field.

Exceptional organizational, verbal, written and interpersonal skills in order to communicate effectively.

CPR for Healthcare Providers to be completed within 30 days of hire.
