Job Description
AZZ has an exciting opportunity for a Human Resources Business Partner at our Fort Worth Texas corporate office. Reporting to the VP of Human Resources you are a master collaborator working with all units of business to implement HR objectives aligned with AZZ’s strategic goals. The HRBP will assist driving people management initiatives by developing internal client relationships and providing coaching, consultation, facilitation, and support in the areas of change management, performance management, and employee relations.
Duties And Responsibilities
Provide timely information and/or education for all levels of the organization on HR issues.
Develop people strategies and design approaches for identifying and enhancing organizational effectiveness and employee satisfaction.
Partner with HR peers to educate the organization on compensation practices, performance feedback, performance calibration, and career transitions (i.e. department succession planning).
Oversee all HR training efforts, including creating and presenting materials, and providing meeting facilitation to different business units as needed.
Consult with third party resources to ensure satisfactory and timely delivery of outsourced services.
Participate in complex projects of large scope for the organization (e.g. acquisitions, divestitures, significant separations).
Conduct internal investigations and prepare all required documentation when employee issues are escalated and reported to Human Resources.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in a HR related role, including operational experience and change leadership/cultural development focus.
Concise and strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Must have strong, demonstrated presentation skills.
Able to work with autonomy and discretion while maintaining employee privacy.
Ability to handle multiple, time-sensitive projects while focusing on the quality of work delivered and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
Well-versed in federal, state, and local employment laws.
Knowledge of principles and techniques associated with training and adult learning.
Up to 15% travel required, may include international.
Minimum Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field required.
HR certifications strongly preferred.
