Kelly Engineering is seeking an Electrical Application Engineer to join our client’s team which is a global leader in electrical distribution systems in data centers, construction, healthcare, automotive, oil & gas, and textile industries.
Role and responsibilities
Drive company acceptance on the specification for consulting engineers nationally through sales calls, presentations, and workshops both jointly with manufacturer representatives and sales staff and individually.
Collaborate with manufacturer representatives and sales staff to conduct joint calls and presentations to prospective clients.
Provide technical support to customers by answering incoming inquiries related to busduct products and applications.
Develop conceptual designs and implementation plans for busduct projects, ensuring alignment with client requirements and industry standards.
Assist in the preparation of sales proposals, including technical specifications, pricing, and project timelines.
Conduct product demonstrations and training sessions for clients to showcase the features and benefits of company busduct solutions.
Stay updated with industry trends, competitor products, and technological advancements to enhance sales strategies and product knowledge.
Work closely with the engineering team to address technical challenges, customize solutions, and ensure smooth project execution.
Collaborate with marketing teams to create promotional materials, case studies, and technical documentation to support sales efforts.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
BS in Electrical Engineering
7-10 years experience in technical sales, application engineering, or a similar role within the electrical industry, preferably with busway or other power distribution products.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, and industrial applications.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical information effectively to diverse audiences.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced sales environment.
Customer-focused mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving and client satisfaction.
Travel
Approximately 50% for customer visits, trade shows, and training sessions
