Responsibilities : Restraint - restrain patients for exams, obtaining samples, ultrasound, radiology, etc.
Obtain samples - blood, urine, and other samples for laboratory tests
Laboratory procedures - in-house blood chemistry and hematology, complete urinalysis, cytology of skin and ears, snap tests, as well as processing and submitting samples to an outside lab
Patient care - hospitalized and critically ill patients: monitoring vital signs, administering medications and/or fluids, etc
Set up and perform radiographs
Client education - nutrition, pet care, vaccine protocols, preventatives, etc.
Support veterinarians to ensure exceptional veterinary careduring preventative,injuryand illness visits
Advocate for patients
Assist withsetting up patient procedures, and surgicalinstrumentand equipment care.
Obtain health history from clients and ensure documentation is accurate and complete within the electronic medical records
