Electrical Engineer | FPGA and PCB Board Design

L ightIC Technologies is seeking to hire talented and motivated electrical engineers to join our hardware team and help develop the electronic hardware design of the system. This person will lead the FPGA and circuit board design, implementation, and board bring-up to help enable a complete LiDAR system. The person will work closely with our optics & optoelectronics team. Join us if you are:

What you will do:
FPGA prototyping including interface logic, control logic, and digital signal processing
(DSP)
Printed Circuit Board design to integrate FPGA with other on-board electronic
components (e.g. ADC/DAC)
System Debugging for high-throughput (GSa/s) data-rate processing
System bring-up
What you need to have:
BS in Electrical Engineering
Minimum 2 years’ experience in FPGA and PCB design
Experience with firmware design, simulation, debug, and test
Experience in Xilinx/Altera FPGA Hardware environments for design and debug (Vivado,
Quartus).
Experience in FPGA Hardware Platforms and tools (Protium, Zebu, HAPS and/or
Xilinx/Altera FPGA based boards)
Experience with VHDL, Verilog or System Verilog and Logic Synthesis
Experience of scripting languages such as MATLAB, Python, Tcl, and/or Perl
Design of data-intensive architectures and functional blocks (Radar, LiDAR, HDTV)
Experience with High-speed (GSa/s) interfaces and High-speed PCB design techniques is
a plus.
Nice to have:
MS or PhD, or 5+ years’ experience in a relevant field
Experience in signal processing algorithms for Radars
Experience in design and test of PCB boards with DACs/ADCs and TIAs
Comfortable working with both analog and digital electronics
Familiarity with lasers and optical detectors
