A Military Planner II will independently collect, assimilate, and manage land use planning, community planning, and urban design project information for the team; prepare project requirements, constraints, and opportunity mapping and required analysis; assist in the preparation for and participation in client and public information meetings, site data collection visits, stakeholder interviews, charrettes, and in-progress reviews; prepare viable courses of action alternatives for evaluation including proposed plans for Department of Defense (DoD) facilities and installation requirements; and prepare high-quality illustrations and narratives for master plans and site-specific area development plans.
The Planner II will participate in all phases of document development, apply the guidance and criteria in the Unified Facilities Criteria series (particularly UFC 2-100-01) in plan creation, prepare conference minutes, work with facility floor plans and facility category codes, and narratively and graphically apply the planning process to documents.

Bachelor's degree in urban planning, architecture, landscape architecture, civil engineering, geography, public policy, or related area
5+ years of military planning
US Citizen
Willing to travel 10% of the time
