About the Role

The Company is seeking a Director/Executive Director for Medical Science Liaisons (MSL) to lead and manage the US field medical team. This role is pivotal in determining and executing the Medical Affairs field strategy, with a strong focus on establishing and maintaining external professional relationships, particularly in the oncology space. The successful candidate will be responsible for the recruitment, training, and development of a high-performing MSL team, as well as for overseeing the team's execution of strategic field/territory plans and objectives. They will also lead the identification and interactions with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and ensure scientific exchange with the external medical community is robust and balanced.Applicants must have a doctoral degree (Ph.D., PharmD, or MD) and at least 10 years of relevant pharmaceutical/biotech experience as an MSL, including 5 years in oncology. A proven track record of success in managing a field-based MSL team is essential, as is a well-established KOL oncology network. The role requires the ability to set strategy, make operational decisions, and drive excellence while motivating and influencing teams. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, project management ability, and a full understanding of compliance related to HCP interactions are also necessary. The candidate should be a strong team player, highly collaborative, and able to effectively interface with commercial and marketing teams.
