Our team’s focus is to create modern, compelling web experiences for all of EverCommerce’s brands, with the ultimate goal of facilitating growth and retention for each. As a Senior UX Designer, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional user experience and visual interface design. Types of projects you will be involved in include website discovery, website design, usability testing, and design system creation & management. As our team works with brands from many different industries, you will use thorough understanding of each brand’s user goals and business needs to create compelling stories, define information architecture, and produce interactive prototypes. You will also lead Junior UX Designers on projects by providing guidance, mentorship, and constructive feedback throughout project timelines. We don’t work in silos; you will work closely with all cross-functional groups which include creative, content, dev, and marketing teams. Our UX team is growing rapidly; we are looking for creative, self-starters who are excited to help pave the way for more user-centered websites across all of EverCommerce’s solutions. Responsibilities: Collaborate with UX team members during the discovery process to create UX strategy that will better inform design decisions
Conduct user research to better understand users goals and behaviors by gathering and synthesizing data via interviews, surveys, and usability testing
Develop Information Architecture by creating sitemaps, user flows, and navigation systems
Design simple, easy-to-use experiences from wireframe to prototype phase that communicate structure, layout, and functionality of a website
Design and define how users interact with websites through various touchpoints by creating interactive elements and animations that enhance the user experience
Design graphic User Interface elements that are engaging and consistent with brand guidelines
Create and maintain design systems across all EverCommerce websites
Conduct usability tests to evaluate the effectiveness of design solutions and analyze results to make iterative improvements based on user feedback
Effectively communicate design concepts and rationale to team members and stakeholders based in user research and data
Facilitate design workshops and brainstorming sessions with internal and external team members
Maintain strong relationships with project stakeholders to ensure positive collaboration and communication throughout project timelines
Provide guidance, mentorship, and constructive feedback to junior designers
Collaborate with PMs, graphic designers, copywriters, and developers from conception to launch
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and ensure the UX team is meeting all deadlines
Advocate for user-centered design within the organization and educate stakeholders on the importance of UX design
Continuously learn and improve UX design skills by seeking feedback and exploring new design trends and methodologies
Skills and Experience needed for success in this role: 3+ years of UX design experience
Strong portfolio showing understanding and participation in UX research, synthesis, and design
Knowledge of Figma, digital whiteboarding tools such as Miro/Mural, and the Adobe Creative Suite
Experience designing and handing off complex websites that are informed by formal UX research and customer insights
Experience in creating and maintaining design systems
Experience designing components for desktop and mobile web environments
Experience in conducting user research pre and post launch
Experience designing websites that meet accessibility standards and compliance guidelines
Experience working in an agile-based iterative approach
Strong communication skills and enthusiasm for collaborating cross-functionally
Excellent oral and written communication skills and experience articulating design strategy
Capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously
Detail-oriented and data-driven
Where:
The EverCommerce team is distributed globally, with teams in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Jordan, New Zealand, and Australia. With a widely distributed team, we are used to working remotely across different time zones. This role can be based anywhere in the United States or Canada – if you’re close to one of our offices, we can set you up in-office or you can work 100% remotely. Please note that you must be eligible to work without sponsorship to qualify for this position, and this role may require travel to our Corporate Headquarters in Denver, Colorado, or to other office locations around North America. Compensation: EverCommerce is committed to equal pay and transparency. The annual base salary range for this position is $120,000 – $135,000 USD Per Year. Please note that the salary range information provided is a general guideline and combines all of the distinct labor markets within the US. EverCommerce considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, candidate’s work location, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, external market data, as well as, market and business considerations when making compensation decisions.
