Job Description:
As the Head of Partnerships, you will spearhead collaborative efforts to advance our organization's mission by strategically combining donor cultivation with marketing and communication endeavors. Your multifaceted responsibilities will include:
Lead efforts to identify and engage prospective donors, individuals, and organizations who share our commitment to our cause. Develop comprehensive strategies to attract new donors while nurturing existing relationships to foster ongoing support and engagement.
Conceptualize, plan, and execute fundraising campaigns that effectively communicate our impact and inspire generosity. Your strategic approach to fundraising initiatives will not only help us achieve financial goals but also strengthen our donor community.
Implement robust donor stewardship programs aimed at expressing gratitude, providing transparency, and cultivating deeper connections with our supporters. By ensuring donors feel valued and informed, you will nurture long-term relationships built on trust and mutual respect.
Collaborate closely with the creative department to collaborate on all marketing and communications activities, ensuring a strong focus on amplifying our message to attract and retain donors. Together, you will utilize various channels, such as digital marketing, social media, and storytelling initiatives, to raise awareness and foster engagement with our cause, directly tying marketing efforts to donor acquisition and retention strategies. Your responsibilities will involve developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies, managing all marketing aspects, and working alongside an editorial team to create compelling content. Additionally, you will integrate marketing strategies into program development and execution to ensure alignment with our overarching goals and objectives.
Uphold and enhance our organization's reputation through consistent branding, messaging, and storytelling. Your attention to brand integrity will reinforce credibility and resonance within the community, strengthening connections with donors and stakeholders alike. This also involves building and nurturing relationships with sponsors and partners to secure funding for events and programs, as well as identifying and pursuing opportunities for corporate partnerships and sponsorships.
Utilize data-driven insights to evaluate the effectiveness of fundraising and marketing initiatives. Identify areas for improvement and optimization, driving continuous enhancement across all aspects of our work to maximize impact and reach. Additionally, you will research and identify grant opportunities, preparing and submitting grant proposals and applications while maintaining accurate records of partnerships, sponsorships, and grant activities.
In this pivotal role as the Head of Partnerships, you will serve as a key bridge between our organization and its supporters, leveraging innovative marketing strategies to drive donor engagement and financial sustainability while advancing our mission to create lasting impact.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required, with certification such as CFRE desirable.
Minimum of 3 years successfully developing partnerships with high-net-worth individuals or organizations.
Track record of raising $1M+ annually through major gifts and partnerships.
Proven experience in marketing, with a focus on digital marketing and social media management.
Demonstrated success in building partnerships and securing sponsorships in a nonprofit or corporate environment.
Experience in grant writing and management, including familiarity with grant application processes and reporting requirements.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders.
Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to travel domestically as needed.
Passion for the mission, vision and values of IMI.
Legal authorization to work in the United States.
Reside within the respective operational region of the organization.
