Ochsner Health, New Orleans is seeking a Full-Time BC/BE Rheumatologist for the position of Research Medical Director of Medicine Multispecialty Research Center of Excellence. Opportunity details:
0.8 FTE clinical rheumatology and 0.2 FTE research administration
Clinical rheumatology at Ochsner Medical center including supervision of fellows and attending the in-patient rheumatology consultation service in rotation with other staff rheumatologists
As Research Medical Director work as a dyad with a Director of Clinical Research to oversee clinical
research activities across medicine sub-specialties, and report to the Dean of Research
Rheumatology at Ochsner Health
Ochsner Rheumatology is committed to providing high quality, innovated care to patients with inflammatory rheumatic disease, in both inpatient and ambulatory settings. Teaching and research are integral to the department, which sponsors a rheumatology fellowship program and clinical research program. The department is based at Ochsner Medical Center with 7 staff rheumatologists and 4 fellows. Internal Medicine Residents and University of Queensland - Ochsner Clinical School medical students rotate through the clinics. The department is actively involved in multicenter trials and investigator-initiated research. Multi-disciplinary collaborations with nephrology, pulmonary, cardiology and dermatology are ongoing.
