Providence Portland Medical Center is hiring for both Mental Health Professional (MHP) – Professional Counselor & Occupational Therapist at Providence Portland Medical Center

Providence Portland Medical Center is a Magnet-Designated Hospital, the highest credential for nursing facilities in the U.S. and around the world.

We currently have Full-Time, Part-Time & On-Call positions / various shifts.

This position is responsible for providing clinically therapeutic programing and treatment in the inpatient acute behavioral health unit. Under the supervision of the manager/director and in collaboration with a multidisciplinary treatment team, the Mental Health Professional (MHP) is responsible for providing various modalities of treatment from a trauma-informed clinical model that can include psychoeducation, group, individual and family therapy. The MHP is responsible for the psychosocial interventions established in the patient treatment plan. The MHP will use their education and training to assist in stabilizing and treating patients during their stay on the unit. The MHP provides feedback and input to the multidisciplinary team regarding their assessment of the patient strengths, capacities, and responsiveness to the treatment. Utilizing established approaches and standards, the MHP will complete assessment of patient risk to self-and/or others, complete and implement risk reduction/mitigation plans to ensure patient and community safety. In conjunction with the multidisciplinary team, the MHP will assist in supporting discharge planning efforts and interventions that support rapid stabilization and movement of the patient back into the community or the next level of care.

Job Description for Occupational Therapist:

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree From an accredited Occupational Therapy Program. Or

Master's Degree From an accredited Occupational Therapy Program. Or

Ph.D. From an accredited Occupational Therapy Program. Or equivalent educ/experience.

Coursework/Training Occasional specialized Occupational Therapy training to meet a particular department need. Or equivalent educ/experience.

upon hire: Oregon Occupational Therapist License.

upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.

Salary Range:

Min: $42.95, Max: $69.33

Job Description for Mental Health Counselor Masters:

Required Qualifications:

Master's Degree Psychology, Social Work, or other mental health related field from an accredited school, or from a school in candidacy status by the appropriate higher education council. LCSW with the state of Oregon required. Licensure as an LICSW in the state of Washington required as needed based on work location(s). Or

Master's Degree Recreational therapy from an accredited school, or from a school in candidacy status by the appropriate higher education council. CTRS national credential is required. Licensure in accordance with the appropriate Oregon state board is required. Or

Master's Degree Creative/Expressive Arts from an accredited school, or from a school in candidacy status by the appropriate higher education council. It is also required that this Masters degree be eligible for licensure as LPC or LMFT in accordance with the appropriate Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists. LPC or LMFT licensure with the appropriate Oregon state board is required.

2 years Relevant experience in an inpatient mental health setting.

2 years Experience with:- Adult Unit: Experience with adult population preferably in an inpatient setting.- Child and Adolescent Unit: Experience with child/adolescent population preferably in the inpatient setting.- Senior Unit: Experience with geriatric population preferably in an inpatient setting.

Min: $32.33, Max: $ 52.19
