Strategy Development and Deployment
Lead data analysis and generation of insights related to 80-20 including various elements such as quad analysis, identifying work drivers, product line simplification options, customer line simplification options
Lead research and analysis for business teams as a part of grassroots strategy development to assess market sizing, competitive landscape, value chain analysis economic value assessment, voice of customer, customer segmentation, commercialization plans and industrialization plans for strategic growth initiatives
Support the research and analysis required for the annual 3-year strategic plan and 1-year operation plan
Assist VPGM with project manager/stage gate tracking for NPD projects.
Business Analytics
Support coordination across various market product lines to track and consolidate key commercial metrics such as share gain, price, mix, market data etc.
Support development of market input by analyzing external market trend, earnings calls, tracking competitors and key customers
Track and manage sales analytics, industry/performance trends, and industry event insights
Reporting and analysis including executive reporting of sales and marketing results, key metrics and KPIs, campaign tracking and analysis, and ad hoc strategic analysis
Prepares templates to be used throughout groups for various tasks (e.g. month-end, forecasts)
Assist VPGM with SIOP process, annual operating plan preparation, monthly pulse, quarterly forecast, and weekly pulses
Support research analysis for Brand product sourcing strategy and supports creation and development of business models
Develops product application training material
Monitors competitor marketing and pricing activities and develops counter strategies
Participates actively in the Quality and CBS processes including project team involvement, problem solving, and recommending solutions to improve and enhance the quality of departmental and/or company-wide activities
Handles confidential and sensitive information
Perform other duties and projects as assigned
Essential Qualifications / Experiences
MBA with preferred concentrations in Strategy, Finance or Marketing
Undergraduate degree in Chemical, Materials or Mechanical Engineering
2-years experience in chemical, pharmaceutical, or energy industry
Business analytics experience
Ability to review and analyze prospective company and sales data
Exceptional interpersonal, communication and presentations skills with ability to quickly build relationships with those inside and outside the business
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Excellent project management skills
Effective time management sills
Ability to maintain highest level of confidentiality, professionalism, diplomacy and moral ethic when communicating with employees and customers
Ability to prioritize task while being flexible to the dynamic needs and changes of management, customers and VP/GM
Multilingual language skills are a plus
