Objectives of this Role: Serve multiple functions in The Solar System Science & Exploration Division (Div. 19) in Boulder, CO.
Support the Department’s facility and lab needs by supporting and providing expertise in cost and infrastructure efficiencies.
Support various D19 hardware and mission projects, reporting directly to and learning from the Project Managers and the Executive Director of the Space Mission Directorate.
Assist in the management of technical programs involving the design, development, and operations of space instrumentation and missions.
Under the direction of senior leadership, assist with the management of technical programs involving the design, development, and operations of space instrumentation and missions.
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities: Collaborating with leadership and presenting potential resolutions for coordinating and overseeing the budget, build-out and move to the new building; oversee the disposition of property and equipment not making the move and manage equipment after the move
Manage the offices upon occupancy, which will include the coordination of office space, plan and manage renovations and new construction, coordinate with the lease holder and the SwRI purchasing offices for lease changes and renovations.
Apply specialized expertise to coordinate the acquisition and performance of building vendors and services such as vending, maintenance, janitorial, moves, and storage both on and off-site.
Support the various lab proctors and assist with programs related to the procurement, use, and inventory of common lab supplies and assure timely laboratory availability as projects work through their lifecycle.
Plan & implement mission reviews as Review Manager; safety & mission assurance system compliance; manage project risk, receivables/deliverables, database, logistics, and expedition; verify/validate databases & work products; coordinate with other Divisions in SwRI Space Sector.
Requirements: Requires a Bachelors or graduate degree in Management, Leadership, Project Management, Business or related with related experience
3 years: 2 years required with Masters; Experience in commercial property management
Experience with managing office renovations and modest construction projects.
Familiarity with managing commercial property leases.
Proficiency with Word and Excel, and desire to learn other tools such as MS project and budgeting resources
Must be able to be develop skills and become proficient in grant writing development/design related to the Division’s facility’s needs.
Strong organizational, management, communications, and interpersonal skills.
Special Requirements: Work assignment is in Boulder, Colorado. Must be a U.S. person (i.e., U.S. citizen, non-U.S. citizen national, lawful permanent resident, asylee, or refugee) due to ITAR work in section.
Job Locations: Boulder, Colorado Salary Range: $55,890.00 - $113,963.00
