Your Day-to-Day:
Collaborate with Experts: Work alongside and under the supervision of licensed engineers
Field Exploration: Coordinate drilling operations to collect soil samples and prepare boring logs
Data Analysis Support: Play a key role in supporting complex projects through in-depth data analysis, contributing to informed decision-making and project success
Proposal & Report Preparation: Contribute to preparation of project proposals and reports to ensure clients expectations and needs are met
Client Interaction: Provide project and client support by interacting effectively on project updates
Your Impact:
As a Geotechnical Staff Engineer, you will be the face of S&ME on various project sites, representing us with:
Confidence and Professionalism: Confidently interact with clients, construction crews, and subcontractors, creating positive relationships and ensuring collaboration
Expert Solutions: Utilize your training and expertise to significantly impact project success and provide valuable solutions to clients
What You Bring:
A Bachelor's degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering, Mining, or a related field; or the ability to obtain within 6 months
0-2 years of professional experience
Excellent computer skills with the ability to learn commercial software applications
Working Conditions and Physical Demands:
Working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Routinely lifting and carrying 40-50 lbs. (field/laboratory samples and equipment)
Traveling out-of-town (may include overnight) for assignments as necessary.
Working outside of normal business hours when necessary.
