DHS Software/ Computer Engineer - Entry level, Experienced, Expert

Entry Level (0-2 years experience)
ADS is seeking a remote Software/Computer Engineer 1 that can perform basic computer programming in a compatible language that will enable the collection and manipulation and test data from a variety of types of instrumentation.
Collection and manipulation includes: updating programs as the instrumentation changes, creating a database for the storage of data
Converting the electrical signals from test instrumentation into engineering units.
Displaying converted data during a test; plotting test results; checking for and correcting erroneous data.
Comparing data between different tests
Producing any desired chart or graph of any of the data in a form suitable for including in technical reports or presentations.
Maintains data collection computers, analog to digital converters, and all related hardware and software.
Requires supervision.
Experienced (6+ years)
ADS is seeking a remote Software/Computer Engineer 3 that can perform advanced computer/software program and systems engineering primarily with respect to computer functional allocations, software development, and hardware development. Serves as computer programmer/analyst, performs development and application of computer software, data analysis, and data processing. Knowledgeable in government ADP standards, policies, modern communications networks, operating systems, World Wide Web applications, and high-level computer languages.
Ability to expand existing software to meet changing requirements.
Focus on creating fault-tolerant programming.
Ability to create scalable, automated solutions. Establish multi-platform versions of software packages.
Performs software or computer engineering analyses and interface with security related systems to determine potential for further development, production, and interface to other systems, and usefulness in the intended environment.
Requires moderate supervision.
Expert level (12+ years)
ADS is seeking a Software/Computer Engineer 5 that can perform advanced computer/software program and systems engineering primarily with respect to computer functional allocations, software development, and hardware development. Serves as computer programmer/analyst, performs development and application of computer software, data analysis, and data processing. Performs software development lifecycle - from concept through delivery of next-generation applications and customizable solutions
Analyze code and engineer well-researched, cost- effective, and responsive solutions.
Knowledgeable in government ADP standards, policies, modern communications networks, operating systems, World Wide Web applications, and high-level computer languages.
Ability to expand existing software to meet changing requirements.
Focus on creating fault-tolerant programming.
Ability to create scalable, automated solutions.
Establish multi-platform versions of software packages.
Performs software or computer engineering analysis and interface with security related systems to determine potential for further development, production, and interface to other systems, and usefulness in the intended environment.
Requires little to no supervision.
This position has openings for Entry Level, Experienced, and Expert - level roles
This may have an option for Hybrid work with a minimum requirement to visit on site in Atlantic City.
Qualifications: Preferred to be located near Atlantic City, NJ
A Bachelor's Degree in computer, software, electrical engineering, mathematics, or related field from an accredited college or university; with 1, 6, 12+ years experience
OR a Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in computer, software, electrical engineering or related field. (Expert Level)
OR Ph.D. degree in computer, software, or electrical engineering from an accredited college or
university. (Expert Level)
Experience in software of database development demonstrated by the ability to perform software system and database analysis, monitor software development standards and write software development assessments.
Professional knowledge is defined as the comprehensive, In-depth knowledge of systems engineering and advanced technology development.
Experience with Java, Python, C++, and other programming languages preferred.
Good written and oral communications skills.
