General Responsibilities: Responsible for providing strategic leadership and expertise to manufacturing operations in Hockley, TX.
Essential Duties
1. Performs a variety of duties:
Implement manufacturing operations strategy in alignment with Company plan and customers’ needs.
Promote efforts to continually improve workplace safety, product quality, co-worker training, production capacity, staffing and operating efficiency.
Establish manufacturing plans, goals, and production enhancements and innovations.
Identify root causes and corrective actions to achieve standard install times for On Road water, Flatbed, and dump bed in Hockley Texas.
Assess mechanics truck builds and develop plan to become best upfitter in the region .
Promote continual improvement utilizing Lean Manufacturing and related processes.
Drive manufacturing process strategies to execute company goals.
Refine and execute fabrication startup up plan in Texas.
Work with Hockley paint department for coating of fabricated parts
Implement technological improvements and create and execute policies and programs to maximize capacity and ensure high quality and low costs.
Lead operations/manufacturing organization for establishing teamwork and morale.
Develop plans for manufacturing and personnel.
Report manufacturing metrics transparency.
Enhance product lines gross margins.
Guarantee excellent communications in organization at site level with strong internal communication.
Set up cost control standards, minimizing manufacturing costs through effective utilization of personnel, equipment, facilities, materials, and capital.
Assess financial statements and activity reports to measure productivity and determine cost reduction areas.
Set up policies in material usage, capacity planning, production methods and employee relations to enhance efficiency.
Develop and manage budget reports.
2. Coordinates specific work tasks with other personnel within the department as well as with other departments in order to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of information.
3. Abides by the current laws and organizational policies and procedures designed and implemented to promote an environment which is free of harassment and other forms of illegal discriminatory behavior in the work place.
4. Cooperates with, participates in, and supports the adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of risk management and overall safety and soundness and the company’s compliance with all regulatory requirements.
5. Reports pertinent information to the immediate supervisor as requested, or according to an established schedule; compiles information as necessary or as directed and provides data to appropriate personnel.
6. Responds to inquiries relating to his/her particular area, or to requests from customers, other personnel, etc., within given time frames and within established policy.
Ancillary Duties: Performs tasks which are supportive in nature to the essential functions of the job, but which may be altered or re-designed depending upon individual circumstances.
