The successful candidate should be a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Ohio, Pennsylvania, Michigan, or West Virginia or ability to obtain.

Local experience and familiarity with the local engineering practice.

Geotechnical background including fundamental knowledge of principles of geotechnical engineering, soil and rock mechanics, earthquake engineering, pavement engineering, and groundwater hydrology.

Experience in construction oversight for foundation and pavement construction and earthwork observation.

Experience with geotechnical engineering software; we would rather you were well-versed in a few than only-sort-of-acquainted with many.

Familiarity with AASHTO, FHWA, and IBC standards, guidelines, and deliverables.

Demonstrated ability to lead small to medium-scale geotechnical projects and manage field geologists and engineers.

Other Miscellaneous Qualities:

Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
