Technology Sales Specialist

Works closely with account managers and customer service representatives (CSRs) to educate prospects on benefits of iWarehouse solutions, Toyota technology solutions, certain Bastian products, and other technology-related items. Helps account managers and CSRs on how to effectively prospect for leads. Once a viable opportunity is identified, the Technology Sales Specialist becomes involved in bringing these opportunities to a close.

Works independently to manage time and travel throughout Welch’s multiple markets. Needs to be able to develop working relationships with account managers and customer service representatives. Receives general direction and is expected to develop and/or improve procedures/practices.

Compensation: $70k/year plus 20% gross profit on any sales, car allowance, and fuel card.

Responsibilities:

Generate and present proposals.

Develop schedule for working with account managers and customer service representatives.

Work with account managers and CSRs on prospecting for leads/opportunities.

Create a territory sales plan, in coordination with Corporate Manager of Technology Solutions, with quantifiable goals and objectives, action plans, and benchmarks for measuring progress.

Provide advice and counsel regarding how to promote, position, and price technology solutions.

Foster networking relationships throughout the Raymond and Toyota dealer networks.

Document all procedures created.

Desire to learn about new technologies.

Help drive scheduling and participation in internal and external customer reviews.

Provide concepts to customers and sales team to aid in additional sales/services.

Be willing to travel to customer sites as required to understand the customer requirement.

Continually keep up with market trends.

Create and execute project work plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.

Continually increase knowledge of company products, services, and procedures.

Explain complex technical information to customers in a way that is easily understandable.

Update records of customer communications and contact information.

Additional duties as assigned.

Core Competencies: Required:

Previous sales experience (technology-field preferred).

Proficient in Microsoft Office Products, CRM, and quoting modules

Generate, communicate, and deliver accurately required sales documentation.

Willing to travel overnight for intrastate and out-of-state customers.

Ability to learn multiple software applications for technology products/services.

Attend meetings with active involvement.

Enjoy working in a team environment.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Must be resourceful with exceptional project management abilities.

Ability to identify and follow up on leads.

Be able to employ company resources effectively and efficiently at appropriate stages in the sales cycle.

Knowledge of Lean Management.

Basic understanding of Wi-Fi networks.

Experience with database management systems.

Education & Experience :

A bachelor’s degree is preferred in IT, business, sales, or related field.

Three or more years of sales or marketing experience.

Preferably 2+ years of working experience in a Material Handling environment or within a technology field

Basic network technology understanding a plus.
