Job Title: Catering Server
Reports To: Catering Manager/Assistant Catering Manager
Position Purpose: Serves food and beverage according to established rules of etiquette, and performs any and all other duties that are involved in the service of a private function.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for obtaining special instructions for the day’s function.
Performs all sidework duties required for set-up for each function.
Takes cocktail and beverage orders, if necessary.
Responsible for alerting supervisor to potential problems with underage drinking or a person’s over consumption of alcohol.
Responsible for alerting supervisor of all member and guest problems/incidents.
Address members and guests with friendly and courteous attitudes at all times.
Serves food in proper course sequence.
Pours & refills wine, coffee, water and/or other beverages served with and after the meal.
Responsible for keeping tables cleared of all soiled dishes.
Performs any and all other tasks as directed by supervisor.
Education and Work Experience Qualifications
Prior food service experience in a catering department, hotel, or club is required
Must be able to work a flexible schedule with weekends, evenings and holidays.
