Operations Lead - Special Projects

Seattle, WA, United States

About Galvanick

Galvanick protects the industrial world against cyber attacks. Our threat detection platform for factories and critical infrastructure defends the modern world against criminals and nation-states that target SCADA (supervisory control and data acquisition) and ICS (industrial control systems). You will be joining a world-class team from Amazon, Google, the White House, the US Navy, and Wall Street. We are backed by Founders Fund, Village Global, MaC Venture Capital, and others.

About the Role

We are seeking a tireless individual to work on Special Projects. In this role, you will drive successful outcomes across broad multi-functional projects to achieve Galvanick’s goals and vision. This role will cover a wide span of tasks involving operational, administrative, and financial projects. You will work closely with and report directly to the CEO. The ideal candidate understands fast moving organizations and brings a low-ego hyper focused approach in supporting the day-to-day activities of the C-suite.

What You Will Do

* You will work in a variety of domains spanning multiple projects to deliver results. No two days will be the same. This is a great opportunity to wear multiple hats and grow with an early stage startup. In a dynamic environment your job is to bring order to chaos.

* You should expect to work on financial research projects, preparation of both internal and external documents and marketing material, in-depth analysis of potential customers and markets, human terrain mapping, and more.

* You will regularly report on project status and provide line of sight on financial and operational barriers.

Who You Are

* You have exposure to the worlds of finance, security, and business, and feel comfortable operating in these uncertain and ambiguous environments with only general guidance. Whether financial modeling, drafting a marketing document, or engaging with a national security stakeholder, you feel comfortable working in a variety of domains spanning multiple projects to deliver results.

* Operational mindset and drive to get things done.

* Comfortable multitasking and prioritizing without guidance.

* Bias for action and willingness to take risks and responsibility for decisions.

* Willing to be customer-facing, and able to prioritize quickly when issues arise.

* The Galvanick team takes a low-ego, mission-centric approach to problem solving. We provide direct feedback to each other and expect the same of new members.

* Due to the proximity to the C-suite, we are looking for someone with a flexible schedule that is available to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Bonus Points

* You enjoy solving problems, and are an early adopter of new technologies.

* You are forward-leaning, and enjoy proactively identifying problems, then quickly analyzing, building and executing a solution strategy. When it comes to problem solving, we like people who are able to diagnose problems from first principles, enabling them to build solutions that address the need, not just the ask.

* Startup experience and an understanding of zero to one is a big advantage.

* Knowledge of security frameworks, compliance and regulatory standards (e.g., SOC2, GDPR, HIPAA).

Benefits

We provide top-of-the-line medical/dental/vision for employees and dependents, and have additional benefits designed to optimize every team member’s vitality, health, and wellness.

Location

The Galvanick team is based in Seattle and for this role we will also consider LA. Given that we are an early-stage startup working on an exceptionally hard problem, we expect new team members to be in office. We are happy to cover relocation expenses.
