Job Description:
Position: Buyer
Job Summary: The Buyer will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely procurement of materials and supplies necessary for our manufacturing processes. This individual will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials while maintaining strong vendor relationships and optimizing costs. The ideal candidate will possess excellent negotiation skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of manufacturing processes and supply chain management.
Key Responsibilities:
Source, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, price, and delivery speed to ensure timely availability of materials.
Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing agreements with suppliers to achieve cost savings and favorable terms.
Review and analyze purchase requisitions, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues in a timely manner.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including production, engineering, and quality assurance teams, to understand material requirements and forecast demand accurately.
Monitor inventory levels and manage inventory turnover to minimize stockouts and excess inventory.
Conduct regular supplier performance evaluations and implement improvement strategies as needed.
Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory requirements to make informed purchasing decisions.
Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and vendor contracts using procurement software and databases.
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards in all procurement activities.
Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement and cost optimization within the procurement function.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
2-4 years experience as a buyer or procurement specialist in a manufacturing environment.
Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
Proficiency in using procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and supply chain management principles.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across different departments.
Salary: 65k-75k, bonus opportunity

Pay Details: $65,000.00 to $75,000.00 per year
