AIS is seeking a Data Analyst to join the Enterprise Information & Analytics team.

Job Description

Job Responsibilities

Interact closely with clients and ISC colleagues to deliver quality solutions to complex business opportunities and problems involving administrative processes and data.

Support clients and ISC colleagues in the correct and appropriate use of data management and reporting technologies to support information needs.

Support and participate in administration of analytics tools.

Participate in planning and implementation of data extraction, transformation and load processes for data warehousing efforts.

Participate in data modeling, physical design and quality assurance activities with project teams.

Support data warehousing and business application implementation efforts; may include participation in data conversions for new application systems.

Create and maintain documentation (e.g., requirements documents, data documentation, analytics tools support aids).

Participate in development of training materials and assist in facilitation of training sessions for clients and ISC colleagues.

Support the implementation of policies, procedures and standards..

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science and 2 to 3 years of experience delivering data warehousing and/or business system solutions in a large university or similar complex organization or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

Experience with the following classifications of technologies is required: Business Intelligence/Reporting Tools (i.e., BusinessObjects, Crystal Reports, Power BI, Qlik, Toad); Database and ETL (i.e., Snowflake, Oracle, MS Access, Talend); Productivity (i.e., MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint).

Experience with the following classifications of technologies is desired: Data Modeling, ETL, Web Development. Experience with Dashboard Design, Data Mining, Predictive Analysis and Performance Management is a plus.

Must be self-motivated with a proactive approach to completing work assignments and able to work effectively on multiple concurrent assignments.

Proven analytic skills and applied knowledge of how organizations use information to aid decision making.

Experience on project teams with the demonstrated ability to plan, estimate and deliver work on a schedule.

Strong written and excellent verbal communication skills; adept at developing and delivering oral presentations appropriate for audience.

Ability to listen and assimilate information provided by others; good influencing skills and ability to reach consensus with clients and peers.
