Role Summary: DTN is seeking Directors of Product Marketing with exceptional tracks record of success and leadership to help lead the company through its next phase of profitable growth. This is not your typical Product Marketing role. At DTN, you will work within one of our product portfolios (Agriculture, Energy/Refined Fuels, or Weather and Climate Intelligence) to develop and execute a comprehensive market development and go-to-market strategy that positions a DTN portfolio for both near-term and long-term growth. Responsibilities: Develop and execute pragmatic go-to-market plans for a vertical product portfolio using a consistent, structured, data-driven approach for market analysis, competitive differentiation, and targeted value messaging
Conduct Market Research including: Market Sizing (TAM, SAM, SOM)
Segmentation (ICP, Persona)
Competitive Analysis
Product Market Fit
Specify and continually refine product value propositions, positioning, and messaging
Develop selling and value messages and derivative sales assets
Develop and manage selling motions for portfolio offers
Compile and analyze sales team and prospect feedback as voice of market
Compile and analyze support team and customer feedback as voice of customer
Create and manage customer and industry stakeholder communities
Deploy metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of go-to-market processes and drive continuous improvement
Work closely with Product Management teams to ensure portfolio and product positioning are aligned with product strategy
Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to develop product & solution targets, go-to-market strategies, and drive product adoption
Deliver existing, adjacent, and new market penetration analysis
Develop and market-test the value propositions of potential new initiatives utilizing DTN design sprint resources and methodology
Direct refinement of design sprints to hone messaging and definition of new minimum viable products
Recommend high-potential innovations and initiatives for DTN investment consideration
Background and Experience: Experience leading and scaling product marketing in a high-growth, multi-product B2B SaaS organization that has grown organically & through M&A ($50M+ revenue)
Strong understanding of SaaS products and the ability to apply market trends and customer insights to drive go-to-market strategy
10 years of experience in Weather, Agribusiness, or Energy/Refined Fuels is strongly preferred
Experience in a fast-paced Private Equity environment
Proven track record of delivering successful market launches and achieving business goals
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with and build relationships at all levels of the organization and with customers
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and make strategic decisions
Proven experience in implementing product marketing best practices
Expert-level understanding of market analysis, customer segmentation, and competitive analysis methodologies
Location: Open to remote candidates
While DTN is a global company operating in many time zones, this role will be collaborating with team members mostly in US Central time zone
Expect up to 15% travel for onsite meetings and events
