Responsibilities:
Sentinel is looking for a Data Security Specialist to assist on of our clients. This role will play a critical role in preventing data breaches, protecting their confidential information, and ensuring compliance with data protection regulations. This is a long term contract, with the possibility to hire, reporting periodically onsite to our client location in Chicago, IL.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field is preferred.
Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) are a plus.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in data loss prevention, information security, or a related field.
Proficiency in DLP tools, such as Symantec, Trellix, or Forcepoint.
In-depth knowledge of data classification, data protection, data categorization and encryption technologies.
Strong understanding of relevant data protection regulations, such as GDPR, HIPAA, or CCPA.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
The candidate must have a car, as this position requires travel between location and the transportation of equipment
A valid drivers license and proof of vehicle insurance will be required
Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
Must demonstrate a can-do attitude
