The role:
We are looking for a Software Engineer eager to deliver first-class user experiences to our clients and their cardholders. Galileo removes the complexities of payments, so companies can focus on providing their customers with excellent card issuing and peerless digital banking experiences. In the (web) interfaces group , you will work where the Galileo platform meets users, building the tooling that enables other employees and our clients to configure the platform, understand what our clients’ customers are doing, and collaborate with other developers across Galileo – all while continually growing as an engineer. You will be involved in the entire product lifecycle, from ideation through building, testing, deploying, monitoring and supporting mission-critical systems. You’ll face and solve a wide range of challenges: technical, product, and operational, shaping your personal growth and career along the way.
What you’ll do:
Develop & test code using modern web development tools
Help translate product requirements into user stories and technical solutions
Write, test, and deploy efficient, scalable code to production that impacts millions of individuals
Generate ideas for new initiatives and technologies
Communicate with project leads, product managers and other software developers
What you’ll need:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
Prior programming experience, ideally with Python and a modern web development stack such as React or Angular
Familiarity with principles of user experience design and the techniques to glue together backend enterprise systems and web interfaces
Experience with container-based development and delivery
Strong drive to ask questions, learn and grow your development skills
Preferred qualifications:
Proficiency in Spanish, in addition to native fluency in English
Prior experience in cloud development (AWS preferred)

The base pay range for this role is listed below. Final base pay offer will be determined based on individual factors such as the candidate’s experience, skills, and location.
