Job Summary
Responsible for managing the global distribution, warehousing and logistics for all customers, products, materials, and inventories in accordance with company policies and procedures. Directs the supply chain activities associated with the accurate transaction processing and control of company inventories. Manages a quality warehouse team to ensure company exceeds customer expectations and achieves corporate operational goals. This role is hands-on that includes leadership and implementing improvements.
Key Duties
Directs the order fulfillment and shipping processes to assure timely delivery of all customer orders, both domestic and international.
Insures business operates within budget and delivers commitments for global organization and local organization.
Supervises all activities associated with shipping from coordination with operational planning, waving, and all associated shipping processes.
Coordinates with Sales and Operational Planning for promotional and special event shipments
Ensures teams work is done effectively accurately and on time.
Manages, mentors, and develops department personnel.
Maintains warehouse inventory management processes to internal, customer and audit standards.
Identifies and delivers on continuous process improvement opportunities across all warehouse processes.
Establishes and drives a culture of continuous improvement mindset amongst warehouse team and departmental and/or process collaborators. These processes include safety, quality, delivery, cost, and people management.
Identifies, establishes, and builds on strategic best practices and value-added processes.
Participates in the negotiations and monitoring of corporate contracts for ground, express and LTL freight shipments.
Maintains warehouse facilities and all storage areas in a manner consistent with ISO & OSHA guidelines.
Coordinates deliveries and maintains inventory
Assures compliance to OSHA regulations to provide a safe work environment.
Ensures direct reports comply with all company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and guidelines under the ISO programs and makes updates as needed to insure compliance and continuous improvement
Tracks key performance indicators and report progress daily and monthly
Manages projects to deliver on time and within budget.
Other duties as assigned.
