Role
Uses skills as a seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of Automotive industry practices and company policies and procedures.
Support multiple product teams through Lucid’s New Product Development and Release Process
Methodology and Neutral Product Structure ownership of Product BOM CAD Structure for Design Engineering facilitating downstream business needs.
Work with cross functional team to ensure correct variant codification against individual System/module/components Ensure completeness of BOM/CAD model within purview
Understand and execute in 3DEXPERENCE Configuration Variant Management
Obtain information from Product Marketing to establish vehicle feature configuration Option Packages
Obtain information from Studio to establish color/material acceptable combinations for Option Packages
Ensures consistency and integrity of configuration definition across PLM (Product Lifecycle Management), ERP, MES, and CRM
Define and maintain CAD (Computer Aided Design) BOM structures in 3DEXPERENCE.
Governance and application of Model Versions, Milestones, Features and Options
Review CAD BOMs (Bill of Materials) & Option Codes/Configurations, provide analysis on changes, follow up on Changes for quick turnaround. Work closely with operations support teams and regional counterparts.
Governance of mandatory product data (e.g., attributes)
BOM synchronization between relevant business teams (Engineering, Product Data Management)
Run series of internal CAD/BOM reviews per subsystem Work with DEs to ensure correct positioning of end items within Bill of Material
Facilitate Change Management Process (CR/CO/CA): coordinate part release, BOM changes, Date, milestone, and variant effectivity, manage change workflows and approvers.
Assists with addressing CAD methods, BOM / part release, change management and resolving CAD/BOM technical issues.
Critical member of the product development team
Provide clear input to the project & design teams to coordinate feature roll outs and deliverables
Drive best practices through documentation control policies and procedures across functions.
Ability to program manage multiple tasks, lead cross functional peers, and report status to management on project deliverables.
Drive and own the solution for the complex day to day business issue
Manage Marketing Part Numbers (MPNs) and product configurations related to hardware configuration codes CAD BOM /DELMIA MBOM
Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze detailed documentation.
Technical support function of 3D Experience as Engineering Tools & Methods
Level 1 Helpdesk with 3DX OTB design tools and DRE training on software customizations
Level 2 support for PLM Solution customizations after roll-out hyper care
Qualifications
5-10 years of CAD/BOM, Change and Configuration Management experience working with cross-functional teams such as Marketing, Studio, Engineering and Operations or equivalent experience
Experience with PLM/CAD tools 3DEXPERENCE 2018x or higher preferably
Experience with ERP tools, SAP experience is preferred but not required
Expertise in documentation control and change management best practices.
Strong communication skills for collaboration within the team, across cross-functional teams and with management
Approachable and comfortable with developing and maintaining mid/upper-management and individual-level relationships.
Effective ability to translate corporate/managerial goals into action.
Strong, systematic problem-solving and data-driven decision-making skills
Education
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering discipline, computer science, or equivalent STEM subject
