STV currently has an opening in its’ Boston Office for a Resident Engineer for our Transportation and Infrastructure division to work on transportation, facilities and bridge projects in the Boston Area . The Resident Engineer should have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Resident Engineer on infrastructure and preferably transportation infrastructure construction projects.

Candidate should have experience with and working knowledge of MassDOT and MBTA policies, procedures, and specifications.  Possess excellent written and verbal communication, organization and time management skills. The Resident Engineer leads and supervises / manages a field staff (including monitoring budgets) for inspection of construction; reviews the construction schedule and chairs job related meetings; reviews and monitors the Contractor for contract compliance; reviews and provides recommendations to the Design Engineer concerning Contractor’s Requests and serves as the Owner’s on-site representative with the Contractor to coordinate and monitor matters of quality, schedule, cost, and substantial conformance to the contract documents.

Required Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.

5 years of relevant Resident Engineering experience with infrastructure construction projects.

Professional Engineer (PE); registration in Massachusetts is required.

Master’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering is a plus.

Experience on railroad construction projects a plus

NETTCP Certifications are highly desired.
