Who We Are: The Robotics Department is a comprehensive robotics research organization, spanning connected and automated vehicles for on-road and off-road; advanced industrial and manufacturing robotics for all workspaces; and robotics for space applications.
Objectives of this Role: Deliver high-quality proposals, project documents, and internal artifacts to drive project capture and customer satisfaction.
Provide consistency in written communication across the department.
Work with other support staff (document support, technical writers, and administrative support) to promote quality and consistency across the division.
Work with other support staff to establish and maintain document ideation, writing, editing, and review processes.
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities: Review and edit written documents (proposals, reports, presentations, etc.) for excellence in content and style, adherence to internal style guide, and consistency in formatting.
Work on a team of technical staff, project managers, personnel managers, and other support staff to ensure on-time delivery of internal and external documents.
Maintain and update the internal style guide to ensure consistency in written communication.
Requirements: Requires a Bachelors or a Masters degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Technical Writing or similar degree field with related experience.
1+ years: Copyediting and review of technical documents for grammar, formatting, and style.
1+ years: Executing reviews of technical documents at all stages from first draft to delivery.
Superlative command of professional English grammar and style, including adapting to different style standards.
Excellent written communication and teamwork skills.
A valid/clear driver's license is required.
Special Requirements: Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Applicant must be a U.S. citizen.
