Food and Drug Administration Management Analyst in Silver Spring , Maryland Summary This position is located within the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Center for Drug Evaluation and Research (CDER) in the Office of Communications (OCOMM) Program Management & Analysis Staff (PMAS). The office is located in Silver Spring, MD This position is remote-within the local commuting area. If selected, you must reside in the local commuting area and will have to report to an FDA worksite on an irregular basis. Responsibilities Ensures the development of workforce requirements in the administration of human capital functional areas including recruitment and placement, position classification and pay management. Assists the supervisor with building and facilities management, operations, and facilities maintenance issues for assigned office. Manages tasks toward developing comprehensive plans and strategies for the internal and external integration of daily and long- range projects. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications The position of Management Analyst falls within the 0343 occupational series. To qualify for this position at grade GS-9/11, you must meet Time-in-Grade requirements by 11:59 pm EST on 05/08/2024. Minimum Qualifications: Specialized experience is experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. The specialized experience must demonstrate one year of full-time work experience , or the equivalent if part-time (for example, an employee working 20 hours per week for a 12-month period should be credited with 6 months of experience.) Experience may have been obtained in either the federal service or its equivalent with state or local government, the private sector, or nongovernmental organizations. Specialized Experience A- To qualify for the GS-9 You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 level in the Federal Service to include the following: assisting with conducting studies to assess and/or improve administrative management processes; gathering workforce and organizational data to assist with drafting strategic human capital plans; and recommending methods for projects and activities aimed at meeting human capital initiatives. OR, B- Have completed a Master's or equivalent graduate degree, 2 full years of, progressively higher level graduate experience leading to such a degree, or LL.B. or J.D. OR, C- Have a combination of specialized experience as described in "A" above and graduate education as described in "B" above when combined, equal 100% of the total requirement.
