Digital Delivery ManagerACCOUNTABILITY STATEMENT

Under the direction of the SVP of Application Development and Quality Assurance, the Digital Delivery Manager will lead a team responsible for performing programming work in developing, delivering, and maintaining technology-based business solutions in modern tech stack environments. The candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising all activities related to the design, development, implementation and support of designated information systems and software applications. The Digital Delivery Manager is empowered to establish and implement standards and practices to ensure the highest degree of software quality. The position works with staff to ensure adequate, proactive involvement of application development staff with other support teams. The Digital Delivery Manager demonstrates knowledge of all phases of the software development lifecycle and various techniques for creating a high-quality team. Engage in hands-on, in-depth analysis, review and design of the software, including technical review and analysis of source code. Reviews include reviews of in-house developed code, as well as review of technologies provided by 3rd party vendors. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Lead, mentor, motivate and supervise a diverse team of Developers to execute software development to support strategic objectives.

Develop web and mobile applications, web services, user interfaces, and stored procedures based on business requirements and technical specifications.

Provide technical assistance to application users, troubleshoot technical problems, and communicate solutions to users and/or delegate to other developers.

Participate in and lead design sessions with fellow developers, business analysts and other team members to analyze business requirements and outline the proposed solution.

Review requirements documentation in order to interpret and map use cases, business rules and functional design with team members.

Lead and/or participate in the architectural design process.

Take directives from Senior Management and ensure tasks are performed efficiently.

Facilitate communication between development team and other technology teams.

Develop, implement, and maintain VyStar best practices and tools for software development.

Continuously improve process, procedures, and workflow.

Provide employee development and teambuilding for the development team.

Monitor industry and technology trends such as emerging standards for new development techniques.

Review user requirements and create specifications for application design and development.

Work closely with project managers to ensure development meets or exceeds customer requirements.

Drive overall architecture, security, and signoffs of software projects.

Provide architectural and technical guidance for product development and database design.

Participate in audit activities.

Schedule, assign staff, and monitor project progress.

Participate in continuous personal and department performance improvement activities.

EDUCATION

Bachelor's degree with a major in computer science, computer or management information systems, or a closely related field.

Certification in at least one application development related discipline (Development, Database, Practices, and/or Security) or advanced degree in Computer or Information Science.

EXPERIENCE

8+ years working as Team Lead in development role or equivalent Technical Leadership managing employees.

10+ years developer experience with C#, ASP.NET, VB.NET.

8+ years working with Web Services, JSON, REST, XML, SOAP and/or WCF.

5+ years working with Java-based application development.

Financial services industry experience preferred.

Demonstrated experience with information architecture, UX, and experience design principles and practices.

Experience leading IT teams to develop proof of concept implementations of new technologies or innovative applications of existing technologies.

Experience implementing artificial intelligence, machine learning, or robotic process automation is preferred.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Experience with establishing technology guidelines based on best practices in enterprise application architecture and software development.

Experience working with, and in-depth knowledge of core Microsoft technologies including, SharePoint, Project Server, Team Foundation server.

Expert knowledge of Microsoft ASP.NET with emphasis in C# and/or VB.NET.

Proficiency-level knowledge of Java-based development

Expert knowledge of HTML 5, CSS, and JavaScript and familiarity with various JS frameworks such as react.

Subject matter expertise in web and mobile application development environments and tools, device limitations and challenges, and communication infrastructures.

Demonstrated experience with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), Web Services, JSON, REST, XML, SOAP, WCF, Web API and Cloud technologies.

Advanced knowledge of OOD, design patterns, software architecture, and systems integration concepts and frameworks.

Advanced level expertise using SQL Server or other enterprise database platforms.

Experience with establishing technology guidelines based on best practices in enterprise application architecture and software development.

Understand and utilize the technologies required to implement SSO integration on web and mobile platforms, wrapping and/or deploying applications.

Ability to follow and enhance software development life cycle (SDLC) for systems design, development, verification, and implementation.

Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills.

Knowledge of relational databases with emphasis on SQL query language and stored procedures.

Experience working with, and in-depth knowledge of Microsoft technologies including Visio, Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Windows, Windows Server, SharePoint, Visual Studio, and SSRS/SSIS.
