The CAES Advanced Program Development (APD) line of business is seeking ahighly experienced Senior Digital Engineer for new product development andproduct improvement projects as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Thisincludes design, analysis, and all aspects of project engineering work.Our team succeeds in an open area work environment, promoting free andinnovative thinking while capitalizing on personal and professional growth foreveryone. Design, simulate, integrate, and test digital functions and sub-systemsinto CAES' products.Write embedded software for a variety of micro-controllers.Write VHDL for FPGA designs.Design digital hardware to interface with real-time and closed-loop ElectronicWarfare subsystems to meet operationally relevant system goals.Learn and use engineering tools for new product development.Develop microcontroller and FPGA designs for multi-board control applications.Design and create communication interfaces between equipment and the user.Qualifications
Minimum:Bachelor's degree in Engineering.Minimum 5 years' experience in Engineering in high-tech R&D and/ormanufacturing companies.Work experience in electronic product design and development.This position requires access to technology, materials, software orhardware that is controlled by US export laws. In order to be eligible forthis position, you must be a "US Person" under US export laws (oreligible for approval under a U.S. Government export license).Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.Preferred:Bachelors of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.Work within a multi-discipline engineering team to achieve program goals.Experience with prototype assembly, turn-on, and debug in a laboratoryenvironment.Experience taking a design from concept to production, includingcharacterization of designs.Knowledge of high-speed digital and/or analog design.Proficiency with Altium tool set.Knowledge of PCI Express and Ethernet.Experience with DFx practices.Knowledge of radar, EW/ELINT/SIGINT and communications are a plus.Systems Engineering and/or RF experience is also highly desired.Salary Range: $96,000 - $126,000 annually. Employees may be eligiblefor a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Applicable pay within theposted range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to,geographical location, job function of the position, education, andexperience of the successful candidate. Annual bonuses are designed to rewardindividual contributions as well as business results.
