Pompeian, Inc. Warehouse Manager Baltimore , Maryland Apply Now Reporting to the VP of Manufacturing, the Warehouse Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day activities and logistics for the warehouse operations, ensuring the warehouse achieves the standard goals and metrics st forth by the company. The Warehouse Manager will staff and mentor employees at all levels in the warehouse including Warehouse Supervisors, forklift operators, shippers, CDL truck drivers and administrative staff. The Warehouse Manager will effectively lead the warehouse team while overseeing safety practices, shipping and receiving, KPI's, departmental budgeting, equipment, labor, training and external communications.
Coordinate, manage and direct all warehouse activities daily, including safety, labor scheduling, supervision, proper utilization of space, equipment and manpower
Ensure department operates safely and administer forklift and regulatory compliance program
Measure, achieve and maintain 99% shipping accuracy, inventory control and accuracy and on time shipping/delivery rate
Ensure all receiving, shipping, and warehousing transactions and practices of all products are completed and handled in a manner consistent with company policies and procedures, service and cost objectives
Will make recommendations for new innovative ideas to drive automation for Trade Point Atlantic warehouse
Responsible for staffing warehouse operations, implementing best practice for scheduling, maintenance of the assigned areas and equipment, implementation of safety, budgeting, expense management, and supporting sales, manufacturing, transportation, accurate inventory and data transactions
Motivate and challenge warehouse employees; delegating tasks to staff, monitor progress, measure results, and coach staff on performance
Conduct performance reviews and evaluations making recommendations on promotions and development of employees
Coordinate communication between the warehouse, production, logistics and customer service staff to ensure efficient and timely deliveries
Analyze current space utilization vs inventory requirements and propose changes to achieve opium level of safety stock for finished goods and packaging materials
Oversee warehouse management system to ensure FIFO policy is being followed at all times
Will interface with accounting to resolve inventory/loss discrepancies to ensure full traceability
Partner with team members to review current processes, propose and develop changes and implementation to improve efficiency and exceed customer expectations
Measure, achieve and maintain KPIs for shipping accuracy, inventory control and on-time shipping/delivery rate
Oversee facility projects, manage improvements and activity at the Trade Point Atlantic campus and overall security of the employees
Manage and operate a GMP audit ready facility at all times
Ensure all projects and daily work comply with environmental regulations, and company environmental goals
Monitor warehouse trends, evaluate business opportunities, recommend and execute new initiatives
