Community Development Institute Site Manager Denver , Colorado Apply Now Community Development Institute (CDI), a private, nonprofitcorporation with headquarters in Denver, Colorado, is engaged inorganizational development, leadership development, andtraining/technical assistance. CDI is the Head Start National InterimManagement Contractor (NIM) for the Federal Office of Head Start.
The Site Manager is assigned NIM (National Interim Management) ContractHead Start and/or Early Head Start program(s) to ensure a smoothtransition from the previous grantee; oversee operation of the program inall areas to provide safe, quality services to children and families;supporting the goals of the program during the time period the federal Officeof Head Start is conducting the replacement grantee process; transition tothe replacement grantee; and, conducting close-out activities. Thisposition requires extensive Head Start management experience. Considerabletravel is necessary, although this position will work from a home officeduring periods when they are not traveling to a Head Start program.
Education and Experience Requirements:A minimum of a bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in a relatedfield such as Education (Early Childhood Education, Special Education,Elementary Education), Human Services, Psychology, Public Health,Social Work, Family Services or Business Administration.A minimum of eight years of management experience is required (ten yearspreferred), including experience in project management, staffsupervision, fiscal/budget oversight, and implementation ofcomprehensive management systems in early childhood programs.A minimum of three years of experience required (five years preferred)as a Head Start/Early Head Start program director/associate/assistantdirector.Preferred: Bilingual (English/Spanish)
