Hospitalist Physician Opportunity in San Antonio, TX

Envision Physician Services is seeking Hospitalist and Nocturnist Physicians at Northeast Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, TX.

We have immediate needs for a full time nocturnist.

We are seeking highly skilled and compassionate Hospitalist Physicians to join our collegial hospital medicine team Northeast Methodist Hospital. As a Hospitalist Physician, you will be an integral part of our team, providing comprehensive inpatient care to our diverse patient population. Your expertise in managing acute and chronic conditions, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and ensuring efficient patient flow will contribute to exceptional patient outcomes and experiences.

Responsibilities:

Physician Staffing:

Participate in a 20-physician program, providing physician staffing coverage.

Daytime staffing: 9 physicians.

Nighttime coverage: 1 physician with 1 APP (Advanced Practice Provider).

Open ICU Management:

Collaborate with Intensivists to manage the Open ICU.

Intensivists are available 24/7, either on-site or reachable by phone.

Coordinate admissions and consultations with the Intensivist team.

Act as the primary attending physician for patients in the Open ICU, regardless of their location.

Code and Procedure Responsibilities:

ED providers are responsible for running codes.

Physicians may perform procedures if they are privileged, although time constraints may limit these opportunities.

Round and Go Model:

Admissions follow a round-robin model from 7 am to 3 pm, with each physician participating.

From 3 pm to 5 pm, one provider handles admissions, and from 5 pm to 7 pm, another provider takes over.

Late calls are not part of the round-robin system.

Qualifications:

Medical degree from an accredited medical school.

Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.

Active medical license and unrestricted ability to practice medicine.

Must be a valid US Citizen or Permanent Resident. Unfortunately we cannot consider J-1 or H-1B Visa holders at this hospital.

Demonstrated experience in hospital medicine and managing acute and chronic conditions.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
