About the Team:

The Growth Platform team builds integrations and tooling to support our Marketing and User Ops teams at Quizlet. We empower our Lifecycle Marketing team to engage with our users in personalized, targeted ways and with information that is relevant to their needs. For our User Ops team, we aim to reduce the manual steps involved with user support and content moderation to prevent abuse and ensure our users get the product support they need in a timely fashion. On the Brand Marketing side, our team provides an integration with Prismic to make it easy to create and update content on our website. We’re a small team that is frequently involved in cross-team projects on the product side of things at Quizlet, helping other teams integrate and deploy new features for our users.

About the Role:

We’re looking for a strong frontend developer who is comfortable with, or interested in learning backend development. A successful candidate will enjoy working closely with people from all areas of Quizlet, building new internally facing features, improving integrations with 3rd party software, and fixing bugs. They will get to learn a lot about marketing and support workflows as well as get exposure to various product integrations and programming languages we use for our core product as well as services our team creates and maintains. This position provides a great opportunity to work on interesting projects with a team that is frequently solving new problems and working in a large codebase where we frequently get the chance to learn new things.

This is a hybrid role based out of our Denver, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Seattle offices. In this role, you will: Work closely with people from all areas of Quizlet, building new internally facing features, improving integrations with 3rd party software, and fixing bugs

Learn a lot about marketing and support workflows which build on top of services like Braze, Prismic, and Zendesk

Have a great opportunity to work on interesting projects with a team that is frequently solving new problems and iterating on a large codebase

Take ownership of mid-size projects to add features to microservices

Find opportunities to improve data integrations and automated workflows

What you bring to the table: 3+ years of professional experience in software development

Strong understanding of Javascript (React, TypeScript, and vanilla), browser APIs, and at least one other scripting language

Willingness to learn new technologies, such as Hacklang, Python, Kotlin

Experience driving projects to completion, either solo or with other fullstack engineers

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Bonus points if you have: Client-server architecture knowledge, including: Cloudflare, Authentication, Email protocols, Caching, AB testing

Experience working with any of these tools/integrations: Prismic, Braze, Zendesk, BigQuery

Creating and maintaining service architectures

Debugging skills

Total compensation for this role is market competitive, including a starting base salary of $140,000 - $200,000, depending on location and experience, as well as company stock options
